The logo for the graphical version of this site was hand drawn by Kristan DeLong using a Wacom tablet (custom font). A binary image was drawn and stretched to form intentional pixelation. The outline was extracted, and the interior was filled with samples of intracellular vascular directly from experiment two.
Twenty visualizations were generated via the eyecandy plugin using two separate segmentation algorithms. One was a perfect fit via a human-modified segmentation mask, the other is a best-fit of the variance-class segmentationa algorithm. All visualizations were taken directly from output without any tweaking or modification of the toolkit. The displayed visualization is pseudo-random and depends on the modulo of an invisible site counter.
