- an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Truman State University (Wikipedia entry),
- the Director of Truman's The Next STEP program, and
- the Director of Truman's Mathematical Biology Program.

My professional schedule For the 2009-2010 academic year, I will be on sabbatical. My sabbatical project involves
- learning more about mathematical modeling in a biological context,
- learning about computational modeling in a biological context,
- learning about multi-scale modeling, and
- learning to program in the python programming language.
